What is your opinion on reality TV shows?

I personally believe that reality TV shows are highly entertaining and interesting but only if they choose the right people for a particular season. There are some that are great because they seem like real people who were just brought together because of the circumstances.

A lot of reality TV show contestants say that the things that they have shown on television are their true selves, but because it was highly edited, there are some who seemed good, and there were also some who seemed to be the antagonist of the whole series. People may be judged unfairly because of the editing, but it does make the series more interesting.

My opinion on reality shows is that they are designed so that people get addicted to them. The audience gets addicted to these types of shows rather quickly. That is the whole purpose of the reality tv shows. It seems that ever since they began about twenty years ago, all they have done was increase in popularity. I think there are some reality shows that are good, but probably the most popular cater to singing and dancing.

Some of those shows are done with tact and are kind to the competitors and the competitors are kind to each other, but most are not. The few like “The Great British Baking Show” seems to know how to conduct a reality TV show so that people realize where they stand in the competition without crushing someone’s dreams.
