The ICC Cricket World Cup for 2019 had begun at the end of May. It was May 30, 2019, when the first game began of the tournament. It ended on July 14, 2019. The ICC Cricket World Cup championship was being held in England and Wales. These countries placed a bid for the last world cup for cricket back in 2006 for the 2015 games, but this was awarded to New Zealand and Australia.

At that time, it promised England and Wales that they could host in the 2019 games. There were ten teams coming to the ICC Cricket World Cup games and they were New Zealand, Australia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, West Indies, England, India, Bangladesh, South Africa, and Afghanistan.
