Spotting the differences between Parmesan and Pecorino can be very difficult if you have not tasted these two kinds of cheeses before. Parmesan and Pecorino are very similar, but the truth is, they also have their differences. The first notable difference between Parmesan and pecorino is about their source. They differ on how they are produced. Parmesan is gotten from cow's milk, pecorino, on the other hand, is gotten from ewe's milk. You can also differentiate the two from each other by using taste difference.

It should be noted that these kinds of cheeses have a very powerful taste but there are still differences. When you taste Parmesan, it first gives a fruity taste and after some time, we feel a kind of peppery taste. While pecorino tastes very differently, as it gives a kind of salty taste. Pecorino, while its still fresh, has a very softy texture and lighter compared to Parmesan.
