The multiplexer and decoder may both be used to transmit signal but they are different from each other. The multiplexer will transmit raw and unused information. The decoders will interpret the different signals that they receive. There are instances when there is so many information that people will receive that they do not know which one they should focus on first.

This is where the decoder can be very helpful because this will make sure that the right details will be decoded and sent to the receiver clearly. Without a decoder, interpreting signals will be complicated. Companies use the multiplexers in order to send different signals and the decoder will interpret them.

Today, there are a lot of devices that make use of signal in transmitting so many things. They make use of the signal to perform various operations they are designed to do. Examples of those devices are multiplexer and decoder. However, there are some differences between the two. Multiplexers are devices that help in combining several input signals into a single output signal through a medium. Multiplexer usually uses wires for the transmission of various input signals to a destination.

Most input signals produced by multiplexers contain raw and unused information. Decoders, on the other hand, are devices that decode and interpret multiple signals. Without a decoder, it will be very difficult to interpret any input signals being sent. Multiplexer and decoder are used by big telecommunication companies to convey input signals through multiplexer devices, while decoder devices are used to interpret the various signals. Which means, the two devices work together.
