Nowadays, ride-sharing services are popping everywhere as the problem in traffic arises and to reduce the emitting of harmful gases to our environment. Two of the popular ride-sharing services are Lyft and Uber that both launched in 2012. The pricing of the two also relies on the location and destination of the passengers, time (surge pricing), and traffic.

Though both ride-sharing services have a fairly common ground, they are very different from each other. Lyft is only available in North America and is not open to international franchise soon. While Uber is widely used all across the globe. Passengers easily see the ratings of the drivers in Uber via the Uber app, but if you want to commend (or file a complaint) to your Lyft driver, you need to contact the company directly.

Lyft is a transportation company that launched in 2012. It is mostly available in United States and Canada. It is not readily available in many nations. For a vehicle to be approved by the company, it must be at least 2005 model or higher, be damage free on the body, have four doors with fully functional air conditioner and many other requirements. Lyft and Uber are arguably the biggest and the most popular transportation companies which are available in most countries of the world. The two companies offer cab services to their customers. However, there are some differences between Lyft and Uber and its basically about the different ways the two companies offer various transport services they render. The first difference will be on the price. Uber charges more on various transport services it renders when compared with Lyft.

Another thing is that, although both companies have Mobile App for their customers to use, Uber tends to have more comprehensive and detailed features for its users than Lyft. Uber also has a wide coverage than Lyft because it is available in more than 84 countries of the world, while Lyft is basically a major transport company in the United States and other neighboring countries. However, Lyft also has better customer services than uber, Lyft drivers are allowed to relate more with their passengers or customers, while Uber drivers are more concerned about doing their jobs.

Lyft and Uber are both transportation services that operate in both the United States and Canada; however, Uber is also offered in many cities worldwide. These countries include the European Union, central and South America, Africa, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

The lift has managed to avoid many of the controversies faced by its competition Uber, which is possibly due to the company’s smaller size and its limited operations. Uber also set specific requirements on its vehicles used by drivers, and it has several different levels or categories of service. Uber has received a lot of negative media and negative attention while lift, in contrast, has an outstanding clean reputation in the transportation industry.
