What is the difference between LCD and Flat Panel?

Flat Panel Display is the term used to describe the new design of television that has been introduced to the market. This has made the usual CRT screens obsolete. People want to have the flat panel displays right at their own homes. LCD or Liquid Crystal Display is just one of the flat panel displays that you can find right now. Some people choose this because this is one of the first models that became available.

LCD is also the most commonly used flat panel display used on mobile devices. LCD screens are best for relatively small devices because it gives a better resolution and it comes with a very low price compared to other flat panel screens. However, as good as LCD screens are, the major problem with them is that, they cannot really be used in building up big devices that need big screens.
