When it comes to saving of image on the internet, downloading copies of the software, there are few formats to choose from. NRG and ISO are parts of those formats. The essential difference between these two formats, NRG and ISO, is their source. NRG is a format developed by Nero, and it is a very popular burning software and disc imaging while ISO is a global standard developed by a body that governs over world standards. ISO is used widely to achieve the highest level of portability in burning software.

It gives the programmer encouraging support to attain the highest and best output. Some other primary difference is that NRG records audio tracks while ISO cannot, and also, but NRG is not. Most people NRG is just an ISO file, it is not because you can not just insert an NRG disc into a system that only recognizes ISO discs.
