Fertilizer is a substance which is used to make the soil more suitable for growing plants. There is no big difference Fertilizer and Turf Builder, the latter is just an example of fertilizer. Since fertilizer can either be synthetic or natural, Turf builder belongs to the category of synthetic fertilizer. Turf builder is just a type of fertilizer you will find in the market and it is produced by scotts company. Turf builder is usually referred to as a miracle fertilizer. It is mostly used for growing green lawns and other plants.
Although, turf builder is considered as a miracle fertilizer, it can cause more harm to the soil since it is a synthetic fertilizer. While natural fertilizer will add nutrients that will stay with the soil for a long period, turf builder will only add nutrients to the soil for weeks. However, people use turf builder because it has the ability to release nutrients to the soil in a way that will be enjoyed by all the plants and this makes the plants to grow at the same rate.

Every home-owner wants to have a beautiful lawn that is lush and green. However, fertilization is needed for the green grass to have steady growth. Turf Builder is only a brand name of a fertilizer that is manufactured by Scotts Company. It is a synthetic fertilizer that could harm the soil. The following are the differences between Fertilizer and Turf Builder: a. NATURE: Fertilizers can either be natural or artificial while the Turf builder is a synthetic fertilizer. b. MODE OF ACTION:
The physical form of fertilizers has been known to be slow in action. It takes a long time for the nutrients to be impacted into the soil. Whereas, the turf builder is a miracle fertilizer that takes little time in changing its nutrients to the soil. c. INDIRECT IMPACT: The natural form of fertilizers has no disadvantage or negative impact on the soil to which it is applied, but the turf builder has a high tendency of harming the earth. Also, when a turf builder is used, the nutrients do not remain in the soil for long.
