The ignition system is what starts a car, as it is how the car gains energy to get the motor going. To start the system, one will take their car key, insert it, and turn it. Doing so creates a spark, which ignites the cylinder's combustion. (Hence why it is called the ignition system) The engine starts with this combustion.

Turning the key is the most important part because it gets many components of the car started, including the engine and the spark plugs. Starting the car is vital to being able to put the car in drive, as well as reverse.

Key is turned supplies voltage to starter and plugs which turns over motor

When key is turned on it suplies electricitgy to the system the spark happens and car is started
