Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 of every year. Earth Day has gained a worldwide recognition as the day is being celebrated in over 193 countries of the world. The celebration of Earth Day started in the United States of America and the reason behind the celebration is to reawake people consciousness to the devastating effects of air pollution and other environmental hazards which are caused by our careless attitude towards preserving the nature.

Earth Day was first celebrated in the United States on April 22, 1970 following the noticeable effects of various environmental pollutions and their implications on human existence. On that day, various rallies, programs were organized towards enlightening and sensitizing people on how to treat the nature fairly and since 1970 a lot of efforts have been made to ensure a safe atmosphere for all earth inhabitants; various programs and conferences have been organized to keep the earth very safe for everyone.
