Weasels and Ermines are important members of the weasel family. The truth about these two animals is that, they really do have a lot of things in common, but they are different in some ways especially their physical appearances and how these two animals adapt to their nature. One notable difference between weasel and ermine is definitely on their sizes.

Weasels and Ermines are important members of the weasel family. The truth about these two animals
An average adult ermine is about 11 inches and ermines are relatively bigger than weasels, while adult weasel has an average length of 7 inches and they are smaller than ermines. Another difference between ermines and weasels is that, both animals have white fur during winter but ermines can easily be separated from weasels because a part of them usually turns black during the winter. However, both animals have different colors in the summer. Also on how they reproduce, weasel can give birth to 1 to 7 offspring with a single pregnancy, while ermines give birth to 1 to 8 offspring.
