Although many of us use these terms interchangeably, zero and nothing are not the same. Zero represents as “0” is a cardinal number occurring before one (1). Zero is used to denote no quantity or no amount at all. On the other hand, the word “nothing” refers to the absence of anything, including empty space, brightness, darkness, matter or a vacuum.

It is the absence of anything relevant or measurable. The word “nothing” can also be used to refer to something of no importance or consequence. Nothing is considered a null set and zero is a number. Hope you find this information helpful.

Zero and nothing are two completely different things. Zero is known to be a number that is commonly written before the number 1 when counting numbers. Zero will also signify that there are other numbers that may take its position depending on what is being counted. This is considered to be one of the most important numbers in Mathematics and other aspects that are related to Math even if it may not seem obvious in the beginning.

Nothing is different. Nothing can refer to your feelings, space, a situation, and so much more. You may be asked how you feel about something and you may say that it is nothing. This is considered to not have any beginning and nobody has seen its end just yet.

Zero is considered to be a number with a numerical value of "0". It is a binary digit that is used to denote numbers in numerical values. Zero has a vital role in all branches of science and mathematics as identification of real numbers, integers, and other algebraic formations.

Also, zero has a measurable beginning or a quantifiable end. The term "nothing" is considered to be an empty or null set. It is a concept that depicts void or absence of something. It does not have any value. Nothing does have any beginning or end. It is the absence of anything measurable.
