What is the difference between Agoraphobia and Claustrophobia?

Some may think that agoraphobia and claustrophobia are the same but they are not. Claustrophobia is the fear of being inside enclosed spaces. There are some people who will find it hard to go through tunnels and other smaller spaces because they feel that it will not be safe for them. Those who have agoraphobia are fearful that they may be in a certain situation wherein they cannot escape.

It does not mean that they have to be in a small room in order to feel fear. They can be anywhere but they would start to fear that they are going to get trapped. People who have these types of phobias may undergo treatment if they feel that their phobia is hindering them from doing certain things.
