What is the difference between Your and You're?

This is something that a lot of people get confused about when they are trying to write English or use more English sentences. Your refers to something that may belong to you. You are using it to gain possession. You’re, on the other hand, is the short term for you are. For example, you may say, “I have seen your baseball bat.”

You cannot use you’re here because it would mean, “I have seen you are a baseball bat.” Which is definitely wrong. Aside from the fact that it does not make any sense, you would not like to be described to a baseball bat.This is still something that a lot of people get confused with.
