Spotting the difference and the type to use between pads and tampons can be daunting at times. The two are meant to serve the same purpose, just that there is a slight difference in their applications. Pads are sanitary napkins or towels and are made up of absorbent material. This is used by the female gender during menstruation to ensure a smooth monthly period. It is applied by sticking it around adhesive strip to the inside of one's pant. Pads are of different types, there are those with wings and we have those without wings.

Tampons like I said before are the same with pads in terms of their functions. But tampons are different from pads by their application. Tampons are also made up of absorbent material, but those absorbent materials are compressed in a small cylindrical shape and insert into the vagina. There are different types of tampons, mini tampons, regular tampons and super tampons. However, many girls like pads because they are very simple to use unlike tampons which require a level of knowledge before it can be used.
