Jscript is a language that has been set apart from JavaScrip to own its ECMA Script language. Java Script is a freshly developed language and has to be cautiously laid down as per the pertaining rules to get the best result possible.

Jscript has an additional number of commands and features exist as compared to JavaScript. Microsoft's ActiveX operation interface is being hosted in the Jscript. Few versions of JavaScript permit access to ActiveX objects while all versions for Jscript have access to Active X objects. JavaScript is independent of the Sun Micro System while the JScripts is dependent on the Java language.

ComparingJavaandJavaScriptis like comparing apples and oranges. Both are different languages except few similarities. In this article, we will try to cover all the differences between both the languages. The main idea behind the development of JavaScript was to give an edge to the informal programmer and to increase the web components interaction so that internet is more interactive. It was the freedom void of any constraint in writing the code that made JavaScript quite popular. Just go through this Java Vs JavaScript

These two are known to be scripting languages but they do have their differences. JScript is the type of language that is owned by Microsoft. This can only be used for applications and programs that are powered by Microsoft. JavaScript can be used by different people when they want to do some codes. They may be used to create programs and edit programs that are not owned by Microsoft.

Another main difference between the two is the ability of JScript to access and open Internet Explorer. Java Script will not be able to do this. It is best that you know the difference between the two so you can decide which one will be more ideal to use.

Both JavaScript and JScript are scripting languages, but JScript is owned by Microsoft. Because of this, JScript can only be used in Microsoft's Internet Explorer, while JavaScript can be used in any web browser. In relation to web browsers, the web browser compiles the JavaScript codes.

JavaScript also cannot access any web browser objects, while JScript can access objects exposed by the browser Internet Explorer. With JScript, compilation is no longer supported. In regards to Active Content Creation, only JScript will support it. JavaScript is a year older, as it was released in 1995 and JScript was released in 1996.
