The correct answer to this question is beheading. John the Baptist is a preacher. He is mentioned throughout the New Testament and is a significant figure of Christianity. Along with his duties of being a preacher, he baptized many in the rivers. While baptizing them, he told stories of Jesus coming back.

Many of those that followed John was the first to follow Jesus. As the story goes, the most significant person John the Baptist baptized was Jesus himself. The Princess of Herodias, Herodias, asked for John's head on a platter. Her wish came true in 31AD. Despite that, he is still a popular figure taught about today in Christianity.
