Nothing is really protected by the right to free speech. It is known that the United States has freedom of speech in their first amendment rights. However, there are exceptions to this rule. You can’t yell fire in a crowded theater. You also can’t write threats to someone without getting into trouble. Therefore, blogs are protected by the right to free speech.

However, there are exceptions and limitations to what content you can write on blogs. Some of those things that are included in the exceptions are the same as those mentioned that can’t be spoken. There are other things too that can’t be included on blogs and that would most likely include other threats that are made as well as inappropriate photos.
