This is not how a satellite can maneuver itself from being hit by any nearby space debris or debris on its path. Satellites with propulsion still stand a little chance from not being hit by space debris. This is actually a problem because there are millions of space debris in the space, and this includes millions of space debris which are less than 1 CM.

Those tiny particles cannot be easily tracked like the visible ones. The only thing that can prevent a satellite from being hit by any space debris lies on the satellite operator. There are technologies that can be used by any satellite operator to prevent the satellite from being hit. The technology has been designed to alert the satellite operate of any possible collision with the space debris, the operator will in turn maneuver the satellite into a safe direction. A small piece of space debris can destroy a satellite.
