Agree to the above members, I myself believe that WhatsApp is just a combination of words like What's Up?
It symbolizes the aim of this application. It connects people, and they have the opportunity to get engaged with each other. So this app really had a meaningful name.

I always thought that the name WhatsApp is from the words "What's up?", so also it is an app.
So, the developers decided to form a new word made by these 2 letters.

There are some words that have formed part of our vocabularies today. Those words do not really have meaning but they are being used by people. An example is Whatsapp, many people still think WhatsApp is a word which can be found in dictionary or probably a word that means something.
WhatsApp is the name of a messaging app. It is owned by the founder of facebook. It shares features with facebook but facebook has more content than Whatsapp. Whatsapp is indeed one of the most reigning messaging apps known. Whatsapp has greatly helped in reducing the high rate of international call charges, as you can just send your messages and information within a few seconds using your mobile data. Whatsapp shares almost the same features with facebook, though the two are not totally the same. The seemily similarities between facebook and whatsapp might be due to the fact that the two messaging apps belong to the same person.
