The media is greatly responsible for instilling Islamophobia in the public. They influence the entire world around us so of course they have a lot to do with how the public thinks and feels about most everything. They tend to report on negatives concerning Islamic people, places, and situations and cause great fear among the people.

The media is all about hype and igniting emotions which keeps them in business. People will tune in to watch if they are alarmed and therefore, they play into it. They present the stories and news pieces that negatively expose Muslims and leave out the greater good of such people and about their country too. If equal time was spent on both the negative and the positive, it would be much more fair for all. But, given the nature of journalism, positive stories don't draw the audiences that negative stories do so that will never happen.
