P.S is an abbreviation for postscript, which would be used if you have written a non-business letter and after you sign you remember something you want to include. Instead of going back and re-writing the whole message you can add your p.s. and add the information you have forgotten.

In today’s world of computers, the need for p.s. has gone by the wayside because you can just go back and add in the information; however, there is something to be said for a lovely, handwritten letter, as it shows the receiver that you cared enough to take the time to sit down with paper and pen.

P.S is the acronym for Postscript, the acronym is from the Latin word Postscriptum which means afterwritten. The acronym P.S is used to write additional information about things we forgot to write when writing a message or some other things.

P.S is the acronym for Postscript, the acronym is from the Latin word Postscriptum which means
We have probably had one of those occasions where we would want to include something in writings but because of one thing or the other we forgot, so that is where the use of P.S comes in handy. When we forgot to include something in our writings, we can use P.S which means Postscript to provide the additional information.

The acronym is used in its upper case i.e P.S and not p.s, some use it without the dot symbol in between the two letters i.e PS. And it is mostly used at the beginning of each sentence. This type of acronym can be used in a formal communication and writing.

A lot of people know that PS stands for PostScript. This is usually placed when people have already written everything that they want to say but they remembered that there is something else that they want to discuss. Some people also use this opportunity in order to add some additional information about what they have written.

Some also use this opportunity to introduce a new topic that will be talked about in the next email. There are so many ways that this can be used but the fact remains that this is something that is placed at the bottom of the letter or email. Remember that the PS is also written usually after the signature of the person.

PS stands for Post script, or after writing. When you have finished writing a letter you may well have an after-thought. You have signed your name, but want to add something, so you put p.s. under your signature and the omitted sentence or thought. PS is informal rather than formal. You would not put this in a book or an academic paper.
