Bill Clinton became the president of the United States in 1993 and he remained president of the United States for two terms until 2001. As a president of the United States, you can only serve at most two terms. He was the 42nd president. During his presidency, he wanted health care reform, increase taxes in order to decrease the budget and to have background checks for firearms.

He became the president after serving as governor of Arkansas for many years. He was the youngest governor when he was only 31 years old. He was the governor from 1979 to 1981 and then from 1983 to 1992. Then the following year, he became the president. He actually entered the presidential race in 1987 while he was still governor, but he was not selected.
