Probably Ronald Reagan’s best accomplishments as president include a few major things. These are the lessening communism and the war of drugs. Both of these things took part during Reagan’s presidency. He fought nonviolently, that is, against the USSR and Gorbachev in order to convince them to stop communism. With the Soviet’s communistic government, the US wanted them to stop and allow freedom to their people.

The same was said about the Berlin Wall which created a communistic side from a free side. Ronald Reagan was known for saying “Tear down that wall, Mr. Gorbachev!” These words became a symbol for freedom. Second, Reagan and his wife create the “Just Say No” program for teens to say no to drugs.
