Why was Ronald Reagen so aggressive against the USSR?

A Cold War took place between the United States and the USSR or Soviet Union. The Cold War was considered to be a war that never really had violence between two or more countries, but it is a battle that usually involves a certain topic or challenge. In this case, the US and the USSR were in a Cold War due to their government being Communistic as well as other factors.

Reagan built up his military at the time, but Gorbachev did not. Reagan wanted peace. He wanted for the Soviet Union to help make peace by having Gorbachev to “tear down this wall.” Reagan was referring to Germany’s Berlin Wall that separated their communistic side from the free side.
