Bangkok is called the City of Angels. But, do you know why? In Thai, the very name of the city, Bangkok, is Krung Thepw which translates to mean the City of Devas, Gods, or Angels is located. Many believe that it is exactly what the city is...on angels. It is exquistie to many and has everything to offer. To others, of course, it is way too loud and too busy and for those who like a bustling spot, Bangkok can be simply angelic. The name was given years ago, but the same remains true. It is a place where money is spent and money is made. There are fine places to eat and good people to meet.

The name is ironic because it can be a somewhat sinful city too but all the same, the people of old found it truly loveable, God-like, and angelic at the same time. It is a huge tourist destination which is like an angel watching out for the town and the people there of so they can properly feed their families.
