A wave with a cycle of 1 millisecond would have a frequency of 1,000 hertz, give or take a few hertz. For those unfamiliar with this kind of physics, a hertz is the most basic measurement of a soundwave there is. Typically, 1 hertz will take 1 second to travel. The more cycles in that single second, the more hertz to a wave. It’s that simple, for a trained physicist, at least.


Also for those unfamiliar with physics, “MHz” is the abbreviation for “megahertz”. The abbreviation “kHz” stands for kilohertz, while “Hz” is just hertz. These are all ways to measure soundwaves, and are often used in conjunction with the time in seconds it takes that wave to travel.
