There are a lot of people who can always eat seafood whenever they want to, but some are more careful because they are not entirely sure if consuming seafood regularly will be good for them. Seafood contains the minimum amount of cholesterol, which means that it will be good for the body. It also has a lot of vitamins and minerals that the body requires.

The thing is that seafood, like other types of food, should be consumed in moderation. If you would eat an excess of seafood, this may lead to some health conditions. For example, consuming too much seafood means that you will have an excess of Omega-6 fats, which can also lead to some inflammatory diseases.

There is a debate on whether seafood is really healthy or not. It is true that seafood is usually jam packed with nutrients including vitamins and minerals and other good things as well. One of the biggest problems though is that the ocean and seas are being polluted and this is adding toxins, like too much mercury, to the season that people are eating. Furthermore, seafood farms are taking from the natural aspect and are making seafood dangerous and less than desireable.

In today’s era, seafood has become a beloved delicacy as it is highly rich in nutrients, possesses a good source of proteins, and reduces the chances of occurrence of common diseases. According to some researches, adults should eat seafood twice a week to remain healthy.
