I think poker is gambling, because gambling is about fear, which in turn arises from a possible loss or gain of money. It is not only important to us what payment methods you use, whether it is a card transfer like this or the use of real money. In addition, gambling emotions are addictive, and of course poker is addictive too. So here is no doubt that poker counts as gambling.

A lot of Poker players will argue with non-Poker players because they believe that Poker is not a form of gambling. They see it as some sort of entertainment that will require a lot of skill in order to win. Other gambling games and methods will require pure luck in order to win but Poker will require more than that.

The Poker player must trust his intuition or gut feel and should also know the strength of the different card combinations. Still, even if this game would require more skills than luck, it would still involve money most of the time which is why I still believe that this is a form of gambling. Of course, other people would say otherwise.

Many people have argued and are still arguing if the game of poker is a form of gambling. I am of the opinion that it is not gambling. Poker is more of a game of skill than of luck. To be a professional poker player, you need to take a college course to help you understand the complexity of the game.

There is no denying that there is an obvious luck involve in a short term. In poker you are playing against other players not the house. The definition of the word “gambling” is broad and this makes the debate of whether poker is a game of gambling to be endless.
