Testosterone is known to be one of the hormones that men have. This will make sure that the male characteristics will properly develop. What a lot of people do not realize is that women also have testosterone. The ovaries will produce both testosterone and estrogen.

The quantities are a bit small as compared to the testosterone that will be produced by the body of men. Testosterone is still needed by women to make sure that the female reproductive system and the bone mass will be properly maintained. Males also have a bit of estrogen that is considered to be a female hormone which will have the same purpose as the purpose of the male hormone in females.
