However, you should not worry because even though you feel stressed, there are things in your body that are helping you overcome and control that stress. It may be known as the stress hormone but it has a more important name. It is called cortisol. It is a steroid hormone that is secreted in times of major stress. It sends out the hormone when you feel stress. This helps increase your blood sugar and calm you down quickly.
