Salem is a historic city located on the coast in Essex County, Massachusetts, in the United States,
It is positioned at the entrance of the Naumkeag River at the site of an Indian Village and trading center. Salem Harbor divides the city. Located there is also a memorial to the victims of the infamous Salem Witch Trial, which is set on Proctor’s Ledge in Gallows Hill Park. Much of the city’s cultural identity reflects Salem Witch Park.
