There are quite a lot of smart and intelligent pets that you can own. The earth is full of them. Here is a list of some of the most intelligent of them. Monkey – most especially Rhesus monkeys, they are smart, they have the ability to learn, they have an incredible memory, and they also have the ability to make decisions for themselves. Rhesus monkeys have great vocal system that is similar to that of humans. Have one Rhesus monkey around will be so much fun.
African Grey Parrot – These parrots have the ability to mimic human speech; they can also associate words with meaning forming simple sentences. The African Grey Parrot can also be easily trained. North Pacific Giant Octopus – this octopus is considered the smartest invertebrate on earth. They are able to create long and short term memory. They also have problem solving skills. Other smart animals include: Ravens, Crows and Border collie.
Every animal is different just like humans are. Some humans are smarter than others. Therefore, some types of animals are smarter than others. There are some animals that are smarter than other, but they are not typically chosen as pets. These would include chimpanzees, dolphins and elephants. These three animals rank among the top for being the most intelligent. However, it would be difficult to see a dolphin or especially an elephant as someone’s pet.
Other animals that are considered to be intelligent are the rat and dog. These could be pets especially the dog. Rats are known for being pets, but they may not be as popular. Certain breeds of dogs like the German Shepherd are known for being intelligent.
