Many cats stay inside the home. You rarely see an owner walking their cat on the street or sidewalk. That would seem unusual. Instead the cats normally stay inside and play inside. Cat owners must place a litter box somewhere in the house for the cat to use the bathroom.
Occasionally cats may get out or the owner allows them to leave. That may seem like a great idea, but cats can scale fences and walls and can easily escape. If they start going into the neighbors’ yards, then the neighbors might get upset. It is difficult to maintain a cat as a pet because they can’t go outside due to escaping easily. Keeping the cat inside means that you have to scoop its poop everyday from the cat litter.
