Is WeChat's popularity rising worldwide?

In my opinion, WeChat has become more popular with those outside of China who are communicating or handling business with those in China. However, if they don’t then there will be a standstill in growth. This is because the non-users of WeChat have other ways to utilize the functions that WeChat has to offer. This is done through apps that were made in their own country.

These people are more familiar with those apps. For example, Paypal can convert any money to other types of currency. WeChat can’t do that. So, if an American wants to get money from someone in China, then they will have to convert it somehow at their own bank. Very few banks in America will convert money by electronic means.
