Anytime a new business that is a competitor is brought into the industry, many of the other companies may decline in sales. People want to try to the new and improved device. In this case, Apple, has been around for a very long time. It sells items all over the world. These items are mainly electronic devices or parts that go with them.

When WeChat came along, there most likely was a decline in the sales of their competitor, Apple. Apple may not have seen a decline in the United States because Americans don’t use WeChat as much as those in China. However, worldwide, the sales would have declined as a whole due to the introduction of WeChat in 2011.
