A cataract is a worldwide eye defect, and it can surely be cured. But during the infection and this curing process, there are some precautions to be taken. Any eyes surgeon that does not take to these precautions is questionable, the eye surgery for the cataracts treatment can cause trouble and the cataract leading to probably something worse. One of the major precautions to be taken is to avoid taking some medications; this is simply because some medications worsen the effect of cataracts in the eyes; they increase the risk of suffering from cataract. The first medication to prevent totally is corticosteroids medication.

This should be avoided as the medication is known to cause cataracts. Some other medications also have their effects; they should most likely be avoided during cataract surgery. These medications include aspirin and its products, coumadin, Celebrex, Naprosyn, Plavix, and ibuprofen. Some herbs also need to be avoided, such as gingko, feverfew, fish oil, chondroitin, and a few others.
