Yes, I have to say that I’m always looking forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day, and that isn’t at all about the commercial or sweet aspects that are tied to it in a big way. I love Valentine’s Day for one reason, and that is to show the love that I hold dear in my heart for others. In a world that has too much violence and hate, I have to say, and will always say that celebrating love for 24 hours brings me joy beyond reason. People need to love more and be less selfish.

Valentine’s Day gives us each that opportunity to love unconditionally. Not that we shouldn’t love unconditionally every other day, because we should, but Valentine’s Day makes us recognize the love for what it stands for in essence. Valentine’s Day gives each of us the chance to go totally cheesy if we wish to on Valentine’s Day. It doesn’t matter if you say 1,000 I love you’ s or by the biggest box of chocolates or bouquet of roses for your sweetie or give your brother a tee-shirt that says, “I love you, Bro!” Valentine’s Day gives us a moment to let the love run free from the heart. Nothing wrong with that!
