Sir Paul McCartney

The Beatles (and therefore Sir Paul McCartney) had 5 songs in total banned by the BBC - Come Together, A Day in the Life, I am the Walrus, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and Back in the USSR. Sir Elton John had 2 songs banned - Act of War and Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting - both of which were banned at the outbreak of the first Gulf War. Sir Cliff Richard and Sir Noel Coward only had 1 banned song each - High Class Baby and Dont Lets be Beastly to the Germans respectively.
