The longest trains in the world may be calculated several ways. The largest number of wagons could be one factor, especially for cargo trains. Trains may be limited in size by numerous things such as the power limitations of electrified trains of lower voltage. They may also have limitations according to their drawgear and couplings. The curves along the journey, gradients, and the crossing loop lengths may all limit the size of the trains.

Commonly, freight trains in the United States may average about 2,000 meters. Those that have a total length of three or more times those that are average are possible due to distributed power or extra locomotive engines. These extra engines are placed in between or behind long chains of freight cars.

The total length of this train is not at 3,600 feet. It is now longer by 650 feet from its previous length. There are 44 carriages available so people can be sure that they have more chances of getting a seat. The fact that it is almost one mile makes a lot of people want to see it. Some feel that they do not have to ride it. They just want to see how long this train looks like in person.

If you have ever stopped at a train crossing and had to wait for a train especially if you got there right when the train began passing, you may think that this is the longest train in the world. This is due to having to wait so long and the train seeming so have a million cars attached to the locomotive. However, it most likely isn’t.
