Just as you are a lot of things to people around you, in the same way, Alexander was a lot of things to his people. Alexander grew up with the belief that he had been predestined for a particular purpose. He literally believed his destiny and dreams.

Alexander proved himself to be a true leader, an icon who fought tirelessly for his people. As far as I know, Alexander was never defeated, and that is indeed a huge achievement. Alexander was known for his bravery and the ability to strategize very easily, even in the midst of difficulty.

He was an exemplary leader, a type that would not sit and watch his people being killed. As a military commander, he led most of the battles himself, and he was able to win with no single report of defeat. Alexander was indeed a risk-taker; he helped in laying the foundation of Christianity in Asia.

Despite his personality and military accomplishments, history records noted that he failed to win the respect of some his subjects. Furthermore, he had those subjects closest to him murdered. He was also noted being responsible for the many deaths of Persians, Greeks and Macedonians.
