In literature, several books and short stories contain satire. Satire is also a genre in literature or art. Satire is making fun of something. It could be making fun of the main character, minor character or the topic. An author would choose to write a piece in satire in order to gain the attention of certain readers.

These reader, who possibly do not understand or are attentive enough to read the selection, may enjoy reading a satire about the same topic. Many adult cartoons on television are considered to be a satire. Teenagers would like satirical shows and literature. The basic use of satire is the make fun of something and it is geared toward younger group of people who would enjoy reading a topic in satire.
