No, infatuation, and affection are two different terms. Infatuation means that you are highly attracted to someone. This is the part wherein you are sexually attracted to the person. You may not know a lot of things about the person’s personality yet but you do know that you like the way that a person carries himself. Affection means that you would like to do things in order to make the person happy.
You are going to have feelings for that person for a long period of time. You know that even the smallest things that the person does can make you laugh. The person does not have to be in his best state for you to feel affection towards that person.
