Intersex is the condition wherein a person may be born with different characteristics that are not considered to be normal for the typical male and female bodies. For example, a man may be born male with a penis but once he reaches puberty, he would start to develop breasts. This can be a sign of being an intersex person.

Intersex is considered to be different from hermaphrodite. Those who are hermaphrodites are born with both male and female genitals. Some people usually consider them as part of the intersex. This is something that not everyone is familiar with at this point in time. Some are still conservative and they do not want to accept that this can occur.
