is IT apparent that there are spare receptors comparing the two graphs?  graphs b and c show physiological effect vs concentration and binding vs concentration for the same drug respectively.

NoSpare receptors occur when Emax occurs at less than 100% binding. In other words, when EC50 is less than Kd, spare receptors are present. The two are equal in this figure.
