Venus is known to be just a little smaller than earth but it is said to have some earth-like features beyond its surface. If you would just look at Venus from your telescope, it will be hard to guess how the surface is because of the thick sulfuric clouds that are prevalent in the atmosphere.

The surface of Venus shows that there are a lot of craters, volcanoes, and mountains. There are also several lava plains that are available. It is evident from the reports that were given by space explorers that this is a very hot planet. It will be hard for human beings to live there especially since the surface is made out of carbon dioxide.
