Each planet has different weather depending on its relation to the Sun as well as other factors. One factor is the atmosphere. There is no atmosphere on the planet Mercury. The temperatures on Mercury can reach up to four hundred twenty-seven degrees Celsius. It does have icy areas that are far away from the sun. Since there is almost no atmosphere there is no protection, so the weather seems more severe.

Mercury does not have many storms even though you would think so since Mercury is considered to be an extreme planet. Mercury is considered to be a rocky planet. Its temperature changes drastically which is why Mercury is considered to be an extreme planet and not because it has severe storms.
