The sun has a number of vital statistics. According to research, it is 4.5 billion years old and is about 1.5 times 10 to the power of 8 km from the earth. The sun has a mass of 1.99 into 100 to the power off 30 kg. It also has 3000 G sunspots. It has 1 G polar field. It is mostly composed of hydrogen and helium. The other gases including oxygen and carbon make up only a fraction of its composition.
