Agricultural science is a broad multi-faceted field of biology that encompasses the parts of exact natural, economic, and social sciences. It is the practice of growing crops for human consumption. Branches of agriculture include apiculture, bookkeeping, fishing, forestry, ranching or aqua farming. Sustainable agriculture assists in maintaining the natural environment of the land using techniques that promote ecological principles.

Agronomy is the science of creating plants for uses such as foods, fuels, fiber, and feed. Agricultural scientists commonly use poly cropping or planting a variety of crops. Animal husbandry refers to raising and breeding livestock. Agriculture involves a wide range of methods, philosophies, operations, and practices of growing.
