The standard unit of measurement of electric power is Watts. The word "watt" was chosen to serve as the unit of measurement of electric power in order to honor the inventor of steam engines, James watt. A Watt is equivalent to one ampere under the pressure of a volt. A Watt also describes the smallest amount of electric power.

The power consumption of devices is what determines how much electric power they will need to operate. This means some devices only need a small amount of Watts to become functional, while others need more Watts to operate. In smaller devices, the unit of measurement of electric power remains Watt.

However, the unit of measurement of electric power in larger devices is KiloWatts. It is important to note that 1000 Watts is equal to one Kilowatt. In some instances, you can also have something like megawatt (1000KW), gigawatts (1000GW).

The correct answer to this question is watts. The title watts was named after James Watt, who was a physicist. A watt is the source of energy's rate. It uses one joule per second. This is with the acronym J/s. Another way to identify this is as kg·m2·s−3. .

The more watts that there are, then the more energy that is used each second. Therefore, the electrical appliances with the higher watts will work much faster than the appliances with the lower watts.

There are other watt measurements. For example, 1000 watts is a kilowatt. 1000000 watts is known as a megawatt.

You would call this “watts.” Take note that electricity can be measured not only in watts but also in kilowatts. This has gotten its name because of James Watts who is responsible for inventing the steam engine. As we all know, the steam engine was considered to be a modern innovation at that time.

As the years went by, different changes were made to come up with the modern engines that are being used right now. One watt is equal to one electrical power or equal to one ampere. A watt is considered to be a small amount of power but the higher the wattage, the higher the strength of the power that will be used.
